June 15, 2026: The Hero Stand
Imagine you’re at a soccer game.
Would you stand motionless in the stands for 90 minutes to honor a national hero like George Washington — and dress the part?
That’s what the world's most famous soccer fan does. Michel Kuka Mboladinga is the Congolese national team’s best-known supporter who became famous by turning himself into a living monument.
To inspire the players, he holds a statue-like pose for entire games, honoring a former national leader. He’s now doing it this month at the World Cup.
The past only matters if someone remembers. And sometimes the best stories need no words.
Maybe for the next big game… grab a wig and a tricorn hat.
