MARCH 2026 Writers Workshop

TIPS FROM AN EDITOR
(featuring Stephanie Wheeless)

Is your story buried under clunky sentences and words that don’t sing?

Worried a professional editor might fill your manuscript with red ink?

In this workshop with veteran editor Stephanie Wheeless, you’ll see your own work with a more discerning eye.

You’ll learn how to…

  • Spot the “low-hanging fruit” that you can fix right now

  • Make every word earn its place without second-guessing

  • Catch grammar gremlins before they multiply

  • Know when to DIY and when to call in the pros (and save money doing it)

You’ll receive expert guidance from Stephanie Wheeless, owner of Wheeless Edits, a Hampton Roads editor and book coach with a BA in Psychology, an MA in Teaching, and a Copyediting Certificate from the University of California San Diego. Expect hands-on practice that makes revision feel doable instead of dreadful.
